Located at the base of Grouse Mountain, the Grouse Woods neighbourhood can be found where Capilano Road turns into Nancy Greene Way. Capilano Lake forms the western border of the neighbourhood, which also includes Cleveland Dam, Capilano Lake and part of Cleveland Park.

A neighbourhood made up of numerous single-family homes, 42% of residents are aged 50 or over, with 23% 19 or under, indicating that a large number of families live here. Approximately 92% of residents are homeowners, with under 10% renting. Around 62% of residents are married. The neighbourhood also has an extremely low crime rate.
 
Residential Housing
 
A fairly small neighbourhood compared to others in North Vancouver, finding a new home here won’t be easy, but it’s definitely worth it. Made up mostly of townhomes and single-family homes, many are extremely affordable, despite offering spectacular views of the surrounding areas and nature on their doorstep. Since Grouse Woods is located at the base of Grouse Mountain, the residents who live here can literally walk to the gondola, taking them to the top, or hike up the mountain itself via the world famous Grouse Grind trail. Schools in the Grouse Woods neighbourhood are plentiful, with elementary schools including Montroyal Elementary, Cleveland Elementary, Highlands Elementary and Canyon Heights Elementary. Older students usually attend the popular Handsworth Secondary School.
 
Transportation
 
The Grouse Woods neighbourhood is well served by transit, with regular buses running in the area and numerous bus stops dotted around the community. The Seabus Station at Lonsdale Quay is located under 10km away, where commuters can easily travel over to downtown Vancouver. For drivers, routes to Whistler and the Sunshine Coast are easily accessed via the Upper Levels Highway, where there are also convenient bridge connections.
