Popular secondary schools include Carson Graham Secondary and Windsor House School. Capilano University is also located a short distance from the neighbourhood.

Public transit is readily accessible in the Hamilton neighbourhood, with regular buses running throughout the area, and easy access to the nearby seabus terminal at Lonsdale Quay for a quick commute across to downtown Vancouver. If you drive, as many Hamilton residents do, the Upper Levels Highway provides a major transportation route into Vancouver, Burnaby and municipalities throughout the Lower Mainland.
