The Indian River neighbourhood is located in the far east and north vicinity of North Vancouver. It is located to the North of Mount Seymour Parkway just past Parkgate Village. Nearby neighbourhoods include Deep Cove, Seymour Heights and Lynn Valley.

Indian River is home to Dorothy Lynas Elementary, one of North Vancouver’s French Immersion Schools. Nearby Central Lonsdale is also home to several schools, with elementary schools including Cove Cliff Elementary School and Saint Pius X Elementary School, and Seycove Secondary School being a popular choice for older students. Kenneth Gordon Maplewood School is also just a short drive from the Indian River neighbourhood.
 
Transportation
 
Conveniently accessed via Mount Seymour Parkway or by the Trans-Canada Highway, Indian River residents have easy access to all that Greater Vancouver has to offer. With many walking trails in the area, much of the neighbourhood is also conveniently accessed by foot.
