Caufeild as a whole is a largely family-orientated neighbourhood, and a great place for raising kids. Shopping
 
Caulfeild Village Shopping Centre, with its numerous shops and other amenities, is just up the road from Olde Caulfeild. Here you can find a range of stores, from banks and hair studios, to boutiques and pharmacies. It also has a large Safeway, conveniently close for grocery shopping, or driving less than 10 minutes to Marine Drive will take you to IGA Marketplace. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, Park Royal Mall is just a 15 minute drive from Caulfeild. Other excellent shopping destinations in West Vancouver include Dundarave Village and Ambleside Village, where shops and services line peaceful stretches of roadway in village-like environments.
 
Schools
 
Families who move to Olde Caulfeild have some of the best educational establishments in West Vancouver to choose from for their kids. The neighbourhood is home to elementary schools including West Bay Elementary, offering the prestigious International Baccalaureate program, Eagle Harbour Primary School, known for offering a Montessori program, and Caulfeild Elementary School. Secondary school students living in Olde Caulfeild generally attend Rockridge Secondary School. There are also two private schools in the area, Mulgrave School and Collingwood School.
 
Transportation
 
With a walk score of 11, many residents rely on cars to complete their errands, with access into downtown Vancouver facilitated by continuing along Marine Drive to the on-ramp of the Lions Gate Bridge, or by connecting with the Upper Levels Highway for a faster commute. If you take public transit, buses are convenient to catch from Caulfeild, particularly from Caulfeild Village Shopping Centre.
