Demographic
 
The majority of Sandy Cove residents own their homes (95%), with just 5% of people renting property in the area. Most households are made up of couples, although the number of families in the area has grown in recent years, with the percentage of under 19’s standing at around 21%. People over the age of 50 are the highest group (50%), with approximately 57% of residents married.
 
Residential Housing

Recreation
 
The neighbourhood’s most popular recreational space is Sandy Cove Park, one of the prettiest and secluded beaches in West Vancouver. A favourite amongst locals. this beach is a hidden gem and allows residents to swim and relax in privacy. Other nearby parks include Benbow Park and Westridge Park, both popular for their tennis courts. Nearby Cypress Mountain offers cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter season, or hiking and mountain biking in the summer. Grouse Mountain and Mount Seymour are also easily accessible from this neighbourhood, and Whistler is a short drive up the Sea-to-Sky Highway.

Popular spots include the likes of Café Ca Va, the self-titled “living room of the neighbourhood” which serves a wide variety of French cuisine, and Café Crema, a popular coffee bar and bakery. Nearby Caulfeild is also home to eateries such as Pastameli, a popular Italian restaurant with live music nights, and Mega Sushi, serving authentic Japanese cuisine. Hugos is also a popular dining spot close to Cypress Park Estates on Marine Drive, and offers guests spectacular views of Eagle Harbour.
 
Shopping
 
Since Sandy Cove is such a small neighbourhood, it’s best to travel out for shopping. Luckily, the community is located within easy distance of major amenities like the Caulfeild Village Shopping Centre, where you’ll find conveniences including a post office, Safeway grocery store, Pharmasave, pet shop, BC Liquor, and Starbucks, among other popular stores. Convenience store, Cypress Park Market on Marine Drive also offers a great selection of food and coffee. Metagenics Fitness Inc. is also a popular store nearby, selling a range of gym and fitness equipment.
 
Schools
 
Sandy Cove is home to two public elementary schools Cypress Park Primary and Caulfeild Elementary, and a public secondary school, Rockridge Secondary, all of which are part of the West Vancouver School Board. Nearby private schools include Mulgrave School and Collingwood School, best known for their outstanding sports and music programs and welcoming students from kindergarten through to grade 12.

Transportation
 
For residents that drive (many do), Sandy Cove is located close by to Marine Drive and offers easy access to Highway One, meaning residents can be on their way to downtown Vancouver or another neighbourhood of their choosing within minutes. Sandy Cove is also well serviced by West Vancouver transit routes for those who wish to travel by bus.
