Situated off Marine Drive, the neighbourhood of Westmount is located on the west slope of Cypress Mountain, stretching all the way to McKechnie Park. Nearby neighbourhoods include British Properties, Caulfeild and Dundarave.

Westmount offers some of the best educational opportunities in West Vancouver, with many schools in the area, including West Bay Elementary, offering the prestigious IB program to students. The main secondary school high school students living in Westmount attend is Rockridge Secondary, but West Vancouver Secondary is also nearby.
