Location

Upper Caulfeild, part of the Caulfeild community, runs from the Trans Canada Highway, down to Marine Drive, and east to west, it stretches from Keith Road to Eagleridge Drive. Residents who live here have easy access to downtown Vancouver, Grouse Mountain, Capilano Suspension Bridge, and Horseshoe Bay.
 

Demographic

According to data collected by Canada post, the area has around 18,700 households. Home ownership in Upper Caulfeild is high, with a split of 98% owners to 2% renters among those living in the area. The majority of households consist of families, making up 51% of the population, followed by couples (36%) and singles (13%).

The best place for shopping in Upper Caulfeild is Caulfeild Village Shopping Centre, home to an upscale Fisherman’s Market, known for selling high-end retail seafood, as well as being home to a range of stores, from banks and hair studios, to boutiques and pharmacies. It also has a large Safeway, conveniently close for grocery shopping, or driving less than 10 minutes to Marine Drive will take you to IGA Marketplace. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, Park Royal Mall is just a 15 minute drive from Upper Caulfeild.
 

Schools

Residents who live here can choose from an abundance of schools for their children, with the area being home to elementary schools, such as Eagle Harbour Montessori School, which offers a Montessori program for students from kindergarten to grade five. High school students living in Upper Caulfeild generally attend Rockridge Secondary. There are also two private schools, Mulgrave School and Collingwood School.
 

Transportation

Upper Caulfield’s easy access to Highway One makes heading into Vancouver or westward to Squamish simple for drivers. The neighbourhood is also well served by public transit, making travel by bus hassle-free. Many amenities and some schools are also accessible by foot, but most residents tend to own cars in order to travel into the city and up into the mountains.
