Nestled at the forest’s edge between Upper Capilano to the west, Lynn Valley to the east, and the City of North Vancouver to the south, Delbrook is on a slight North-South Slope providing views from some of the homes towards the North end. Families make up 49% of Delbrook’s population, with 60% having kids who still live at home. Couples make up 35%, and singles, the remaining 16%. 87% of residents are homeowners, with just 13% renting. The top three languages spoken by residents are English, Persian and Korean.

Delbrook is a great neighbourhood for eating out, with many Asian restaurants scattered around Delbrook Avenue, Lonsdale Avenue and Capilano Road. Popular choices include Woon Lee Inn Restaurant, serving Cantonese, Szechuan, Peking, and Vegetarian cuisine, Capilano Heights Chinese Restaurant, a veteran Chinese establishment featuring an abundant menu offering garden views, and Hamaei Japanese Restaurant, serving traditional Japanese cuisine. Nearby Edgemont Village is also home to popular restaurants such as The Canyon Restaurant and Nobu Sushi, as well as convenience food stores like BjornBar Bakery, Subway and CoCo Froyo.
 
Shopping 
 
Delbrook has a small commercial area called Delbrook Plaza, which is home to Delbrook Surgical Centre, Delbrook Mall Animal Hospital, and Bob’s Fruit Stand. Close to Delbrook, the popular Edgemont Village shopping area is home to various specialty shops and grocery shops, including BC Playthings, 32 Books & Gallery, Columbus Farm Market, La Galleria Fine Foods and Windsor Meats. A short walk away, you will also find Westview Shopping Centre, conveniently home to a Safeway grocery store, dentist, cleaners and BC Liquor store.
 
Schools
 
A popular area with families, Delbrook is home to many schools, with elementary schools in the area including Braemar Elementary, Highlands Elementary, and Larson Elementary, and secondary schools including Carson Graham Secondary and Handsworth Secondary School.
 
Transportation
 
With a walk score of 71, Delbrook is an extremely walkable neighbourhood, with most errands easily accomplished on foot. There are also various transit options with regular buses running through the area. If you drive, as many Delbrook residents do, convenient access to the Upper Levels Highway takes residents out to the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal and links up with the Sea-to-Sky Highway to Whistler and Blackcomb. The nearby Lions Gate Bridge and the Second Narrows bridges also give Delbrook residents a choice of routes into the business and entertainment core of Vancouver and to other destinations on the Lower Mainland.
