Location
The neighbourhood of Central Lonsdale is nestled between Upper and Lower Lonsdale and extends from Highway 1 to Keith Road. Its loose boundaries include Ridgeway Avenue to the east and St. Andrews Avenue after 17th Street to the Upper Levels Highway. Lower Lonsdale, Capilano and Pemberton Heights surround this neighbourhood.

In recent years, Central Lonsdale leans toward a denser number of medium- to high-rise apartments bordering Lonsdale Avenue, which characterize the area and are popular with younger residents in particular. Popular shops include Blue Sky Clothing Company, North Shore Girl and Golestan Bakery. There are a few places to grab groceries along Lonsdale Avenue, including Lonsdale City Market, 24 7 Foods and Anna’s Fresh Produce. Nearby, residents can also take a short journey to Lonsdale Quay Market, home to a food court, restaurants and brewery, as well as several retail shops, or Westview Shopping Centre, Capilano Mall, both a short drive from Central Lonsdale. Central Lonsdale is also home to the Lions Gate Hospital, the fourth busiest hospital in Vancouver, offering a full range of general as well as specialized care services.

Central Lonsdale is home to several schools, with elementary schools including Queen Mary Community School, Queensbury Elementary and Westview Elementary School, and Carson Graham Secondary being a popular choice for older students
Transportation
Frequent buses along busy Lonsdale Avenue provide easy access to downtown Vancouver via the Seabus terminal, located at south end of Lonsdale. The Seabus runs every 15 minutes during its regular schedule. Central Lonsdale’s northern border is also the Trans-Canada Highway, which provides quick access to West Vancouver and downtown Vancouver if you drive. Central Lonsdale’s great location also provides easy access to pedestrian routes and recreational hot spots.
