Windsor Park is a terrific family neighbourhood South of the parkway and is bordered by Lynnmour to the west, Seymour and Northlands to the north, Roche Point to the east and the waterfront to the south.

A popular neighbourhood with families, they make up 53% of the neighbourhood’s population, with couples making up 30% and singles approximately 17%. Families with children in the area tend to have two children at home, with a large percentage of young children. Home ownership in Windsor Park is high, with a split of 83% owners to 17% renters among those living in the area.

Windsor Park is a great neighbourhood for outdoor enthusiasts, with nearby attractions including Lynn Canyon, which offers several hiking and nature trails, as well as a small suspension bridge, and Grouse Mountain and Mount Seymour, home to world class ski slopes in the winter where residents can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, snow-tubing or tobogganing, as well as a huge network of hiking trails and mountain biking during the summer months. Two golf courses are also located nearby, the Seymour Golf and Country Club and the Northlands Golf Course, both of which offer stunning views of the North Shore and surrounding neighbourhoods. Nearby parks include Cates Park, home to a boat launch which gives marine enthusiasts direct access into Burrard Inlet for a day on the water. For those that prefer indoor activities, Ron Andrews Community Centre, and Ice Sports North Shore are just a stone’s throw away.
 
Restaurants
 
Various eateries are located nearby, including Thirsty Penguin Grillhouse, Tim Hortons and Northlands Bar and Grill. The Parkgate Village Shopping Centre, located on Mount Seymour Parkway also features a wide range of restaurants as well as shops, with popular eateries including Kostas Taverna, Little Caesar’s Pizza, Genji Japanese Restaurant and Subway. Nearby Deep Cove offers an alternative selection of restaurants, pubs and cafes, including The Arms Reach Bistro, Cafe Orso, Honey’s Doughnuts, Deep Cove Pizza and Bluhouse Market & Cafe.
 
Shopping
 
As with restaurants, Parkgate Village Shopping Centre is home to various stores from grocery and convenience stores such as Safeway and Shoppers Drug Mart, to bakeries like Cob’s Bread and specialist stores such as Seymour Stationery. Many services also operate within the Centre including, Telio Hair Studio, The Sanctuary Esthetics Studio and Seymour Chiropractic. There is also a dental clinic, medical centre and veterinary clinic. Mount Seymour Parkway is also home to stores such as Fiddleheads Produce, Stop and Shop. If you’re looking to shop in Deep Cove, popular choices include jewelry store, Room6, clothing store A’hoy, and gift store, LaLa’s.
 
Schools
 
Windsor Park is a family friendly area, home to a variety of schools. Lions Gate Christian Academy is an elementary and secondary school mix operating independently, which also runs after school programs. Windsor Secondary School is a public high school and located within the Windsor Park neighbourhood. Seymour Heights Elementary is located just north of Windsor Secondary, and Windridge Park Preschool is also nearby.
 
Transportation
 
With a walkscore of 34, Windsor Park is fairly car-dependent, with most errands requiring a car. Buses serve the neighbourhood, with a few nearby public transportation options. The area also has good bike lanes, although hills are fairly steep. For those that drive, the Dollarton Highway leads residents onto the Second Narrows Bridge into Vancouver, Burnaby and all other Lower Mainland municipalities. Further down at Lonsdale Quay, the seabus efficiently transports commuters between the North Shore and downtown Vancouver.
