Location
 
The Caulfeild community runs from the Trans Canada Highway, down to Marine Drive, and east to west, it stretches from Keith Road to Eagleridge Drive. This central neighbourhood has great transit links, and is located just minutes from downtown Vancouver, Grouse Mountain, Capilano Suspension Bridge, and Horseshoe Bay.
 
Demographic
 
Caufeild is a largely family-orientated neighbourhood, and a great place for raising kids. Although the community is filled with all kinds of households, families are the largest group (51%), with most having two children at home, and a high percentage of young children. 97% of Caulfeild residents own their homes, with 3% renters among those living in the area.
 
Residential Housing
 
A large majority of Caulfeild homes are pre-1980’s builds, although the area has gained significant development in single-family homes in recent years.
 
Recreation
 
Caulfeild is a great central community to live in, with nearby access to some of North Vancouver’s best amenities. Caulfeild Park is a short walk down to the waterfront, and is a place of environmental and heritage significance for residents and visitors alike. Visit Caulfeild beaches’ rocky shores, and enjoy a picnic in the summer, or enjoy an evening dog walk along its forested paths. The sandy beaches and protected water at Caulfeild Park make it a popular swimming spot too. Of course, Caulfeild is also in a great location to access areas like downtown Vancouver, Grouse Mountain, Capilano Suspension Bridge, and Horseshoe Bay.
 
Restaurants 
 
With Caulfeild Village Shopping Centre just a few minutes drive, or short walk away, Caulfeild residents have easy access to a range of eateries in the area, including Italian restaurant, Pastameli and Mega Sushi, serving authentic Japanese cuisine. Caulfeild Village Shopping Centre also features convenience stores like Cobs Bread, Subway and Starbucks. Other popular dining spots just a short drive away are Hugo’s on Eagle Harbour, featuring live music on Thursday nights, and Olive & Anchor, overlooking the stunning Horseshoe Bay.
 
Shopping
 
As mentioned above, Caulfeild Village Shopping Centre is great for eateries and cafes, as well as being home to a range of stores, from banks and hair studios, to boutiques and pharmacies. It also has a large Safeway, conveniently close for grocery shopping, or driving less than 10 minutes to Marine Drive will take you to IGA Marketplace. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, Park Royal Mall is just a 15 minute drive from Caulfeild.
 
Schools
 
Caulfeild is in a great location for schools, home of Rockridge Secondary, as well as top-rated Elementary Schools, including Caulfeild Elementary, Ridgeview Elementary, and Gleneagles Elementary, a 10 minute drive away. Capilano University is a 20 minute drive from the Caulfeild neighbourhood.
 
Transportation
 
With a wide range of parking and close proximity to transit with frequent buses, Caulfeild is a convenient and popular stop for locals or a quick detour from Highway 1. Many amenities and some schools are also accessible by foot, but most residents tend to own cars in order to travel into the city and up into the mountains. If you do like walking, Caulfeild has lots of trails to explore, including the popular Caulfeild trail, which runs along the ocean for 1.3 km from Cypress Creek to the government wharf at Caulfeild Cove.
